How long does creative audit take?

Creatives generally take 4 to 24 hours for approval. We recommend uploading your creative as a first step in campaign setup. Campaigns can be launched prior to approval and may or may not see delivery before the creative passes audit with the required vendors.

What are common creative disapproval reasons

  • Creative specifications do not adhere to the exchange partners requirements
  • Creative non-correlation with landing page URL and/or no brand identity on creative
  • Industry category not properly declared
  • Creative Secure/Nonsecure - Nonsecure will not run on Google Exchange and many other publishers. Best practice to ensure all creative is secure.
    • Non-compliant: SSL scanner found at least one unsecured item in the chain of resources for this creative.
    • Compliant means SSL-compliant. This means your item is okay for secure sites. SSL-compliant items only use secure URLs in their creative code, impression pixels
    • Google ADX does not allow non-secure URLs (HTTP) in creative code, redirect URLs in redirect creatives, impression pixels, survey URLs, and impression event tags. If you use URLs in these places, they must be secure (HTTPS). Work with your developers and vendors to obtain secure creatives and secure URLs.  Secure URLs start with https and typically use SSL or TLS to keep information secure over the Internet (Secure Sockets Layer or Transport Layer Security).
  • Restrictions for Rotation of multiple brands within one tag.

Does Admatx support creative weighting?

Creative Weighting allows you to determine how much of your budget goes to each creative associated with a line item. For example, if you know creative A is more effective than creative B, you can set up creative weighting so that creative A serves twice as much as creative B

Admatx does not support creative weighting. The purpose of Admatx is to produce the best performance possible in the given targeting restrictions. Therefore the platform does not support creative weighting as the creative format is used as a key for the algorithm to optimize.

What are my workaround options?

If you are required to implement a creative weight you have two workaround options

  1. The most accurate option would be to create separate tactics per creative or creative group. You will then set the tactic budget to the amount of the total campaign budget that is required for that creative or creative group.
  2. A second option that does not require creating additional tactics is to upload multiple of the same creative in order to push more deliver to said creative. Example if I have two creatives and I want to push 75% of the delivery to creative 'A' and 25% to creative 'B' I would upload creative 'A' 3 times. I would then assign the four unique creatives to my tactic. This option only works when the creatives are of the same format (such as 300x250) because the algorithm is using the format to optimize rather than the individual creative.

How do I upload DCM tags when the click macro is missing?

You will need to add the dcm click tracker and TTD click macro into the tags. You will add:  data-dcm-click-tracker='%%TTD_CLK%%'

Example of what a tag might look like:

<ins class='dcmads' style='display:inline-block;width:300px;height:250px'
    data-dcm-macro1=''
    data-dcm-macro2=''
    data-dcm-click-tracker='%%TTD_CLK%%'>
  <script src='https://www.googletagservices.com/dcm/dcmads.js'></script>
</ins>

Can I duplicate a creative?

Creatives cannot be duplicated because we do not store the creative asset files. You can however use the creative variation feature to generate multiple creative variants while building a creative. When adding a creative in the UI there is a dropdown called "Variants." This defaults to "1" as we typically only want to add 1 creative when building new creatives. If you would like to create multiple versions of the same asset or ad tag you can simply select 2-10 in the dropdown. Continue with the information for the new creative such as uploading assets and setting the URLs. Upon submission, the platform will automatically generate the specified number of creative variations. Each variant will have a unique identifier appended to its name, denoted by "_#", where "#" represents a sequential number (e.g., "_1", "_2", "_3", and so on). You can then navigate into the new creatives to update any unique variables such as their name or click through URL.
