ADMATX CRM GUIDE

LIVERAMP

ADMATX partners with LiveRamp to allow our users to onboard their CRM data. The total onboarding time should fall between 8 to 14 business days after the file is uploaded.

Process Overview

Step 1: Addendum

Please request an addendum from your Admatx support team. Sign the addendum to proceed

Step 2: Logins

Provide an email address for the user uploading the data. This user must be an advertiser level user and not agency level per LiveRamp’s requirements.

Step 3: Admatx Advertiser Distribution

Create your advertiser in the Admatx platform. Notify support@admatx.com of the advertiser name for segment distribution. Support will set up your Admatx advertiser destination in LiveRamp. To set your own Admatx destination account see the bottom of this page for instructions.

Step 4: File Formatting

Format your CRM file to LiveRamp’s specs and upload it to LiveRamp. Please see the LiveRamp guide here for file formatting direction. Please see Troubleshooting Simple Onboard File Upload Errors.

Types: .tsv, .psv, or .csv only (remove any commas before converting to a csv)

  • Excel formats .xls or .xlsx are not accepted.

File Name: LiveRamp___.csv (Example: LiveRamp_BobsAutoShop_NewCustomers_08052015.csv)

  • Do not include special characters or spaces in file names. File can contain, but must not start with “_”

Compression: LiveRamp strongly recommends compressing files before uploading them Reduces transfer time, saves storage space, makes it simpler to detect when files are not completely transferred

Encryption: Files can be encrypted before being transferred to LiveRamp

Headers: Each file must contain headers in the first line, matching the content and format listed below. *Header issues tend to be the most common cause of file upload failure.

Audience Key: A persistent and uniquely identifiable key used to de-duplicate records (e.g., customer_id, voter_id); if unavailable PII will be used to de-duplicate

Columns: Including name, postal code, and email address is preferred for the best matching.

  • To maximize reach and maintain accuracy, files are processed at a household precision • Individuals can either be matched by name and postal, or email address.
  • Minimum of 25 records per segment for privacy. Recommended - 1 million records.
  • Columns cannot have the same name. Append a number to duplicate column names (e.g., Email2).
  • The unique identifier (customer ID) should be persistent across all audiences, even if multiple segments are to be created.
  • This identifier will allow LiveRamp to de-duplicate rows in the uploaded file (in case a file has multiple rows related to the same person.)
  • If you don’t have a way of determining duplications, then you can leave this blank.
  • If this file is to update an existing segment, your data must be in the same format for future loads as initial uploads.
  • Dates must be formatted YYYYMMDD (exclude all non-numeric characters
  • Restricted data includes: Sexual orientation, data on minors, religious data, health data, segments with <25 records

Step 5: Admatx Distribution

Once your file is available in LiveRamp you will distribute it to the destination set up in step 3.

Please see the LiveRamp guide here for how to distribute data.

Post Distribution

Where to find your audience

Once your segment as been distributed you will be able to build an audience using this segment.

Within the audience builder set your Data Type to "First-party Data" and search for your segment. To see all options click into the search bar and without entering any text hit enter. This will show all first party data including tracking tags and creative retargeting segments.
