AUDIO GUIDE

Audio

Here's what you need to know about audio advertising in Admatx:

  • Standard audio and podcast inventory are both available.
  • Admatx has both pure-play streaming audio publishers and digital radio streaming providers through SSPs like AdsWizz, Magnite DV+, and Triton. You can leverage 1:1 PMPs with these partners (see our onboarding PMP guide) to target specific genres, playlists, and demographic traits in combination with the targeting provided through Admatx.
  • Some publishers also allow for companion banners that serve alongside the audio ad while it is playing.
  • You should avoid applying too much targeting to these tactics to prevent limited scale.
  • Refrain from applying brand safety targeting to audio because most vendors are not able to “read” the audio stream.
  • Viewability measurement is not available for audio.
  • Audio ads are non-skippable.
  • Although audio buys can be transacted through the open market, many premium audio partners only make their supply available in the private marketplace. Therefore, the recommendation is to either leverage the Adamtx Audio publisher contract group or create 1:1 PMPs directly with the publishers.

Audio Creative Specification

When you upload audio creative, supported audio file formats are automatically converted to VAST or DAAST. Some audio publishers allow a companion banner (which might be free of charge or for an additional fee) that is served alongside the audio ad upon playing. These should be hosted on Admatx for best compatibility.
